Your information, handled plainly.

This policy explains what personal information I collect, why, and what I do with it. I follow the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). If anything here is unclear, email me and I'll answer in plain English.

Who I am

NORDHAUS AI is operated by EZERA Holdings Pty Ltd, ABN 36 696 522 648. "I", "me" and "we" in this policy mean that company and Theo Collett, who runs it. You can reach me at theo@nordhaus.ai.

What I collect

What you send me. When you email me, message me on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or WhatsApp, book a call, or send me a job ad, I collect what you choose to share. Usually that's your name, email, phone number, business name, your role, and details about the work you want done.

What comes up on calls. Notes about your business, your tools and the problem you want solved, so I can scope and quote the work.

Website visits. This site is hosted by Netlify, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested) to run and protect the site. The site itself sets no cookies and runs no analytics at the time of this update. If that changes, this policy will say so first.

You don't have to give me your name to ask a question. For quotes and projects I need enough detail to do the work.

How I use it

• To reply to you, scope your project and send you a quote.
• To deliver, support and invoice the work we agree on.
• To follow up on an enquiry you started. I don't add you to a mailing list or newsletter without asking.
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

I may use AI tools, such as Claude by Anthropic, to help me read enquiries and draft replies and quotes. I review everything before it's sent to you.

Advertising and measuring ads

When I run ads on Facebook and Instagram, this site uses the Meta Pixel. It uses cookies and similar technology to tell Meta when someone who saw an ad visits the site or sends an enquiry, so I can see which ads work and show ads to people likely to be interested. Meta handles that information under its own privacy policy.

You can control this in your Facebook ad preferences, by blocking third-party cookies in your browser, or through Your Ad Choices.

Who I share it with

I don't sell or rent your personal information. I share it only with services I use to run the business, and only as much as they need:

• Netlify: website hosting.
• Google Workspace: email, calendar and documents.
• Meta: Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp messages, and ad measurement.
• LinkedIn: messages you send me there.
• AI providers, such as Anthropic: to help draft replies, quotes and project work.
• My accountant and advisers, and anyone the law requires me to share with.

Information sent overseas

Several of these services store data outside Australia, mainly in the United States. I also work remotely, often from Indonesia. I only use established providers with their own security and privacy commitments, and I take reasonable steps to make sure your information is handled consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

Your business data during a project

When I build a system for you, access to your business data is covered by our project agreement. Wherever possible I build inside your own accounts and tools, so your data stays where it already lives. I never use one client's data in another client's work, in demos, or on this website.

How long I keep it

I keep enquiry and project information for as long as I need it to reply, deliver the work and support it. Business and tax records are kept for the periods Australian law requires, usually five years. After that I delete or de-identify it.

Keeping it safe

Accounts that hold your information use two-factor sign-in, access is limited to the people who need it, and systems I build keep a person approving anything before it reaches a customer. No system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access.

Seeing, correcting or deleting your information

You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email theo@nordhaus.ai. I'll reply within 30 days. If I can't do what you ask, for example because the law requires me to keep a record, I'll tell you why.

Complaints

If you think I've mishandled your information, email me first and I'll try to fix it within 30 days. If you're not satisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

If I change how I handle personal information, I'll update this page and the date at the top.
